House Rules
NO Pets
Pets are not allowed in our vacation home.
As much as we like dogs, our experience with pets during our first season was very disappointing. Extensive damage to doors, frames and urine on the carpet lead to this decision. We are sure our guests will appreciate a vacation home in excellent condition, clean and free of odor.
NO Smoking
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the entire home.
General Info
Housekeeping
Our home is equipped for basic housekeeping. Kitchens are stocked with cookware and dinnerware. Beds have mattress pads, bedspreads, blankets and pillows. You'll need to bring all paper products, soaps, staples, personal items and linens. Linens may be reserved from Hatteras Realty with the rental.

Our home is cleaned after every guest. Please call the rental manager's housekeeping department if the home is not cleaned to your satisfaction upon check-in. The rental manager can correct the situation straight away.
Linens
Please make linen reservations at least 30 days prior to your arrival. The reservation can be made at the Hatteras Realty office phone 800-HATTERAS or 800-428-8372. Supplies are limited. All linens must be returned to the office upon departure.
Check-In
Check-in begins at 4 PM Saturday and 3 PM Sunday but not guaranteed until 6 PM Saturday and 5 PM Sunday. Plan your arrival accordingly.
At check-in you will receive two sets of keys, directions to the property and any rental items reserved.
If your home is not ready when you arrive, you may relax at our Club Hatteras facility.

During the In and Prime seasons, if you are certain you will arrive after 6 PM, notify us by fax or email a minimum of 4 days prior, you will be rewarded with a coupon for a free pizza. This will enable us to prioritize our cleaning schedule.
If paid in full, a check-in packet containing keys and directions will be left in our late check-in box located on the porch of the appropriate office.

Check-Out
Check-out is no later than 10 AM sharp on your date of departure. Guest check-out duties should be completed and home keys and rental items returned to the rental manager's office.
Guest check-out duties: take out trash, vacuum, and wash and put away dishes or start dishwasher as listed on the back of the Guest Survey included in your check-in packet. These should be completed and home keys and rental items returned to our office. If you had rental linens delivered to your home, you will need to strip the beds and put dirty linens back into the plastic bins and our staff will pick them up. If you plan to leave earlier than the opening of the rental office, please leave the keys in the key box next to the office door and any rental items in the area adjacent to the realty office.

Please remember that summer hours for trash collection start at 3am so put your can out the night before collection.

Recycling
We provide two recycling bins for our renters. Please respect your environment and recycle!
Recyclable materials include glass, paper, aluminum and PET #1 and #2.
You can also drop of recyclable materials at the closest drop-off recycling center in Buxton.

Storm Preparation
Please close and lock all doors and windows. Ensure, the screen porch door is secured on the top level porch. Pleas cover the hot tub with the cover mat and tighten the straps securely to the floor.
In the event of a hurricane evacuation, the rental manager will execute all storm preparation on the house. However, we would appreciate it, if you could close and lock all doors. The Hatteras Realty company oversees about 300 rentals and it takes its time to visit them all.
